Staff Engineer

Location: Manchester, NH
Your responsibility will include, but not limited to design and implementation of new products and product variations, handling component obsolescence, providing manufacturing support, and testing third party products. The Staff Engineer must be technically well rounded and a self-starter. Work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Design, develop, document new products
  • Ability to debug products from varied states of documentation, including reverse engineering
  • Develop detailed engineering materials including block diagrams, schematics, component drawings, specifications, manuals, test procedures, and ECOs
  • Povide project updates in an Integrated Product Team
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering resources on packaging for electro-mechanical products
  • Cooperatively work with Asian contract manufacturers and suppliers
  • Coordinate and schedule external Engineering resources including consultants, contract manufacturers and test/compliance laboratories
  • Ability to learn new industry standards and apply to new and existing products
  • Testing and documentation of multi-supplier product interoperability
  • Provide production support for all products
  • Provide technical support and training for customer service and sales teams
  • United States Citizen
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (electrical or computer science).
  • Experience 7-10+ years
  • Digital, analog circuits & embedded systems design experience
  • User interface design experience
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate implemented solutions
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic formats
  • Solid level of computer literacy, office software suite, scripting language(s), C/C++, assembly programming
  • Knowledge of data communication network layers, protocols, and hardware
  • Ability to design, review, and create schematic drawings PCB layouts for test and measurement products
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment.
  • CAD program experience:Altium, OrCAD (or Allegro), Embedded Systems IDEs
  • Test Equipment experience:Oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, ICE and embedded development tools
  • Experience with regulatory agency certification of products is a plus
