Performs tests on electronic components and systems with a thorough working knowledge of analog/digital, and motor control circuits with experience using RS232/485 protocols. Operates and verifies test stands consisting of pulse generators, oscilloscopes, amplifier, multi-meters and other complex test equipment in accordance with a wide spectrum of detailed instructions, engineering directions, wiring diagrams, schematics and test specifications all requiring technical judgment and initiative. Sets up and operates complex environmental simulation equipment on military products such as vibration systems, temperature cycling chambers, leak/seal test equipment, power source equipment and oscilloscopes, Knowledge of fundamental electronic principles, a working knowledge of environmental.
Must have hands on circuit board troubleshooting and repair to the component level. Must be able to recommend changes in procedures to improve testing efficiency and capabilities. Must have general computer knowledge working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Prefer a two year technical degree or equivalent in military/other training.
