This person will be responsible for developing all forms of customer facing and internal service documentation for ’s super-wide inkjet printing equipment. This documentation includes user guides, maintenance guides, service guides, and a variety of other technical publications. Primary duties & responsibilities:
Develop a “working knowledge” of Inkjet Printers and related equipment.
Plan, organize, develop, and maintain customer-facing documentation.
Plan, organize, develop, and maintain employee-facing documentation.
Verify content and accuracy of released document set and perform frequent updates.
Participate in product status meetings as a member of the Inkjet Service Team in order to further understand product plan schedules and needs.
Take an active role in the dnition and evolution of departmental practices and procedures.
Participate in corporate initiatives.
Qualifications and experience:
Education in a related field such as English, Technical Communications and or Computer Science.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a technical writer developing capital equipment or other hardware documentation.
Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills.
Proven ability to comprehend technical topics and work independently on reference documentation for the same.
Ability to write clearly and concisely using industry-accepted grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative group setting.
Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines and quickly shift focus among multiple projects.
Excellent verbal communications skills.
Technology and tools:
Familiarity with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp, MS Word & XML authoring tools
Knowledge of Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, and Photoshop desired.
Experience with 3D image creation
Familiarity with print and color technologies a dnite plus.
