Assembles electronic components, subassemblies, and assemblies using visual aids, prints, wiring lists and diagrams, routing instructions and process sheets. Performs assembly operations in the build of electronic assemblies using standard tools and techniques. Performs electronic assembly operations such as wire termination, and installation of wire harness, and cable assemblies into chasses and modules. Completes mechanical assemblies with various types of mechanical parts using standard and special tools. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools used for mechanical assembly. Ability to follow process sheets for mechanical assembly and minor repairs. Must be familiar with working with a wide variety of adhesives and epoxy's. Verifies results to ensure conformance with requirements and performs rework as needed.
Must have assembly and solder experience with military hardware against MIL STD 883 and J-STD-001. Must have the ability to read blueprints, process sheets and other related documentation used for manufacturing complex electro-optical assemblies and subassemblies.
Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance
