Program Manager 5652

Position Description        Electronic Systems’ seeks to hire an experienced Program Manager to support programs across the Sector as an expert in program execution. This leader will drive continuous improvement in the processes, training, tool usage, and culture surrounding program execution. The position will report within the central Program Excellence organization, whose charter is to drive flawless execution and advance the growth and development of program management teams. As a subject matter expert, this individual will: • Serve on Program Excellence’s Program Assist team • Mentor/coach program managers, functional leaders, and Control Account Managers (CAMs) in the application of program management best practices. • Participate in new business (proposal/capture) and program reviews to ensure program teams are well positioned to achieve financial, schedule, and technical performance objectives • Apply analytics to evaluate performance risks and opportunities as potential impacts to not only the program, but the product line, business area, and the entire sector • Prepare and present executive-level briefings to senior leadership and external customers.           
Skills Required  • Track record of success in planning and executing large, complex programs • Experience working with multi-discipline cross functional project teams, utilizing strong communication and collaboration skills to successfully manage assigned program(s) • Ability to understand and communicate with senior management regarding program performance status (cost/schedule/resources/risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives • Demonstrated expertise in risk & opportunity management industry best practices • Demonstrated expertise in applying Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques • Experience in change management roles, especially involving cultural change • Ability to challenge and improve upon industry practices and standards, as well as company policies and procedures • Capture management and proposal development experience • Ability and desire to mentor early through late career team members.         
Skills Preferred • Master’s degree preferred • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent certification • Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent certification • Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques • Knowledge of AS9145 standards and processes • Understanding of BAE Systems portfolio of products/technologies • Understanding of the DoD acquisition environment and processes • Experience working commercial contracts • Secret Clearance with ability to achieve TS/SCI • Capture management and proposal development experience • Ability and desire to mentor early through late career team members.
