Finance Manager

Position Description        Performs independently, without appreciable direction and with considerable latitude for actions or decisions. Possesses an in-depth understanding of and operate in accordance with all legal, ethical and company requirements, including Company Policies and Procedures, Standard Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Department Instructions. Provides technical assistance to management on problems arising from interpretation of federal legislation and assist company representatives in negotiation with various federal agencies. Determines company and industry trends and developments, including government regulations and all contract compliance issues. Establishes and maintains financial systems, plans and reports in support of the Company’s goals and objectives. May review contracts, leases and other legal documents to interpret, establish, and assure accomplishment of financial requirements. Assures that existing financial systems meet the requirements of federal and state regulations and legislation and the terms of contractual agreements. Makes recommendations to improve financial terms and conditions. Provide expertise in developing methods covering complex financial matters. May act as a leader over a group of financial personnel providing technical direction, establishing priorities, and coordinating all activities within the assigned area      
Skills Required  (In addition to the items listed below, the Essential Functions are: 1. Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in Section II above. 2. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; 3. Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers; 4. Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents; 5. Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations; 6. Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule; 7. Design and develop products and services using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts.)..........Ten (10) plus years of related experience.
