Electrical Engineer Technician

Communicate with Interconnect and Sr. Electrical Engineers to perform needed tasks on a daily basis. Prototype cable building and assembly, consisting of solder and crimp type connectors. Circuit board rework at times, mainly SMT. Troubleshooting A/C and D/C issues on the printer machines as they arise. Assembly of electrical components onto Alpha and Beta printer machines. Provide critical feedback to Interconnect Engineers from an assembly standpoint. Help keeping the EE Lab clean and organized and a team player. Job Duties • Building of prototype cables for engineering purposes • Rework and modifications of existing cables • Helping with organizing and cleaning of the EE Lab • Maintaining EE lab inventory parts and status • Communicate well with others on projects • Reworking of circuit boards as required by engineering • Some panel wiring from time to time • Continuity testing of cables Qualifications: • Good understanding of electrical schematics, interconnect, and cable drawings • Experience with cable building, of both solder and crimp types, and continuity checks • Experience with SMT soldering of boards • Good communication skills with others, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow directions from the Interconnect and Sr. EE’s, from the drawings they supply • Able to work alone and with others, with self-motivation and a can-do attitude. • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills of A/C and D/C systems. • Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, amp meters, and hand tools • Ability to work through problems such modifying an existing design to make the system work, while maintaining a positive attitude, and complying to safety rules, CE and ESD practices. • Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools, and measuring devices. • Perform power up checks of printer systems and sub-assemblies • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to be able to multitask as needed • Attention to detail and neatness of work performed • Good soldering skills • Good crimping skills, using various hand crimp tools • Experienced in cable building and point to point wiring • Good circuit board rework abilities • Positive attitude and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment • Good communication skills, able to work alone • Well organized and resourceful with a strong attention to detail • Certification or at least 3-5 years of experience with cable building • Able to read and work from schematics, cable, and interconnect drawings • Basic computer skills for working in Excel or Word programs • Able to use a multimeter for continuity testing of cables Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering field, and or at least 5 years’ experience in
