is looking for a Payroll Manager to join our Inkjet Business Unit in our Londonderry, NH office. Individual’s primary task(s) will be to manage the US and Canadian payroll processing for exempt and hourly employees.
What You Will Do:
Manage a team of two payroll processors
Rne payroll process and desktop procedures
Manage the semi-monthly payroll processing with interfaces into ADP-Probusiness
Manage the weekly, hourly payroll processing using Kronos
Manage the Canadian payroll processing
Review and approve the Mexico payroll
Assist with software updates to ADP and Kronos
Partner with cross-functional organizations like HR and IT to streamline the payroll changes and weekly information to improve payroll cycles and reduce errors
Coordinate with Accounting team on weekly entries from processing payroll
Prepare and review regular reports such as headcount and payroll feeds into FP&A ‘s
analytical tools
Manage 401K Audits, Workers’ compensation audits and any federal or state agency audits
Provide analysis on key balance sheet accounts to the accounting team regarding month over month explanations and manage Payroll related monthly closing requirement including account reconciliation
Support reviews and audits on internal controls
Support annual financial audit
Assist with discrimination tests and other key threshold reports
Participation in company-wide projects that directly or indirectly impact payroll including M&A integration
Work with IS&T to produce new reports and improve processes that can reduce errors
Ensure maintenance of organized payroll documentation, record keeping, and reports.
Address internal and external payroll related inquires professionally
This Role Might be a Good Fit if You:
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance desired.
6- 8 years of payroll or accounting with minimum of 3 years payroll manager experience
Working knowledge of US and Canadian payroll rules and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to very different audiences in different functions and geographic locations; ability to discuss issues in a technical manner to the external auditors and practically to the field.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ADP - Probusiness, and Kronos
Knowledge of SAP preferred
Individual must be highly motivated and able to work with tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with annul W-2 and T-4 filings and large open enrollment processes.
